Hugo (2011)

Director: Martin Scorsese

Synopsis: A young boy named Hugo loses his father to a tragic accident and is forced to either live with his incompetent drunken uncle or go to an orphanage. Soon after moving in with his uncle, his uncle also passes away. The only thing he has left of his father is a robot that he was supposed to repair with his father. With no other means to survive the boy starts stealing. Little did he know the man he is stealing from is the original owner of the robot he is trying to fix.

Review: An incredible movie! It ends up being more than a story about a young boy named Hugo. The original antagonist in this movie ends up being the protagonist. That is cool. This film also has real film history and some awesome quotes. “If you ever wonder where your dreams come from, look around.” The music score is very spot on for the movie setting mood and reestablishing times and locations the movie is meant to portray. Two thumbs up from me.
