World War Z (2013)

Director: Marc Forster

World War Z is about an ex-united nations worker Gerry (Brad Pitt) that left the agency to be with his family. One day while driving through town there is some odd events that cause extreme panic and world wide hysteria because zombies are threatening to take over the world. I thought that this movie could have been made better. I just feel like there wasn’t much effort put into pulling the audience in and making us sit on the edge of our seats. The only “scary” parts of the movie seemed to only be sudden loud noises that would happen right after moments of silence. The only thing that I really liked about the movie was the “cure”. In most zombie movies scientists just come up with lucky cures or all the zombies get killed at the end. Although I liked how they used this cure in the movie, I don’t really like how there wasn’t much more information given at the end of the movie about what happened months and/or years down the road. This movie really failed my expectations.
