Despicable Me 2 (2013)

Directed By: Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud

This film is an animation about an ex-super villain “Gru” who is trying to make an honest living selling jam after falling in love and adopting 3 orphaned children. Once a secret laboratory is stolen the anti-villain league decides to recruit Grus help getting it back. I took a group of 8 to see this movie. There were 3 adults and 5 children. This film had all 8 of us laughing throughout the movie. Not only did we find it funny but it had a pretty good story to go along with it. After hearing about this movie I was pretty skeptical about seeing it. I mean, how do you tell a story about a bad guy who is no long a bad guy and keep your adult audience entertained? After watching it, it’s clear to e now. Digital effects, the jokes and visual gags that bring you back to you childhood. A time where farting, and burping and simple jokes were hysterical. Not forgetting to mention it’s always heart warming to see the heart of evil grow because of the unconditional love of a child. This movie was very enjoyable and I can’t wait till it comes out on DVD because it will definitely be in my collection.

    • Yeah I definitely saw the first movie. We are really big fans of the minions around my house too. We are all dressing up as minions for halloween actually.
