Hello Movie Buffs,
I’m a pushover for romantic movies especially when the script includes succinct bantering that portrays throughout the scenes. In Still Mine, 2012 Canadian film directed by Michael McGowan, is a true story about an aging farmer, Craig Morrison (James Cromwell), in hopes to build a new home for his wife, Irene (Genevieve Gujold), who is suffering from health issues. He runs into the bureaucratic road blocks and tries to figure it out in a world that is changing around him. A feeling of just because they can, not because it is right. There are no special effects, but the filming of wide-angle distance shots for self-reflections and close-ups lends to a timeless story of love and devotion.
