47 Ronin (2013)

I revisited 47 Ronin.  This film was directed by Carl Rinsch and stars Keanu Reaves.  Reaves plays Kai, a half white and half Japanese outcast.  Kai is taken in by Lord Naganori when he finds him in the forest as an orphan.   Kai will later help Oishi and his 47 samurai with no master avenge the cause of death to their Lord.  I watched this movie as pure entertainment.  As far as the acting goes, I believed I was in the movie.  The fantasy part of this movie could have been take out.  I guess that is what is in now.  People like to watch fantasy adventure movies.  I prefer the realness in a movie if it based on a true story.  The action scenes were good and I enjoyed that.  I loved the costumes and settings.  They went all out on those aspects.  I recommend this movie to those that just want to see some action or that don’t have anything else to do.
