Director: Paul Feig
Synopsis: Kristen Wiig plays Annie the main character of the movie. Annie is struggling to get through life and is constantly running into trouble especially with money. When her best friend Lillian (played by Maya Rudolph) asks Annie to be the maid of honor in her wedding its pretty much the topper on her cake of doom. The movie follows Annie and Lillian on their wedding planning adventure, be it a poopy mess (literally) or drunk fun, along with the other bridesmaids (played by Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper).
Review: I love this movie. The first time I ever watched it was at a Red Hook breweries movies under the stars event and I have seen it many times since. This is a feel good comedy that everyone can relate to on some level. We all have money troubles and if you don’t then you at least have friend troubles. This is like means girls meets sex in the city. It’s pee your pants laughing kind of fun and will leave you talking with your girlfriends about all your terrible wedding planning experiences. And if you aren’t married yet it will give you something to look forward to. I recommend this movie to anyone looking to laugh until soda comes out their nose, because that is exactly what is going to happen when you see the wedding dress fitting scene.
