The Blind Side
John Lee Hancock
Synopsis: The Blind Side is a feel good/ tear jerker film that will pull at your heartstrings and make you want to help out someone less fortunate. It follows the lives of two very different characters. Anne Touhy (played by Sandra Bullock), who is a rich Tennessee, all American, interior decorator; who has the life that any woman would only dream of. And Michael Oher (played by Quinton Aaron), who is a kind from the wrong side of the tracks and is barely able to keep it together at school. The two meet by chance and you get to see how this pair really sets aside preconceived notions and build each other up.
Review: This is an excellent movie. Really feel good, happy endings don’t get much better than this….oh yeah except that this movie is based on a true story. Sandra Bullock is very believable as a rich socialite, is a role I haven’t ever seen her play and Quinton Aaron really comes through with a dead on performance. I recommend this movie to anyone really. You can watch by yourself or with your family. There is pretty much no inappropriateness in this movie so no need to ask the kiddo’s to put on their ear muffs. It would be a perfect movie to follow up thanksgiving dinner.
