Summary: Now that the hunger games have been destroyed and the people of district 13 are uneasy, Katniss Everdeen, along with Gale, Finnick and Beetee, are in it to save their people. Under the leadership of President Coin and the advice of her friends, Katniss becomes the “Mockingjay” and the symbol of rebellion for the people. As she is mocked by rulers who hold Peta hostage and have seemed to sabotage him to the point of no return, Katniss fights to keep her district in high hopes and to bring down the rulers that are making their lives miserable.
Review: A very different take on the personalities of the characters throughout the series. This is the most emotional movie of the 2 others that I have seen, and although I have not read the books I am HOPING that Part 2 is a little bit more exciting. I believe this movie was important to set the tone, but it may have been move intriguing if they hadn’t split Mocking Jay in half. All in all, it didn’t excite me as much as I thought it was going to, but I still think its a great series and am looking forward to the final movie.
